Nasser Bourita held talks in Amman with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi.

Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, held talks on Tuesday in Amman with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination mechanisms between Morocco and Jordan, underscoring the shared determination of both countries to further consolidate their relations across various sectors and open new horizons for bilateral cooperation.
In this context, MFA Bourita and Safadi examined preparations for the sixth session of the Moroccan-Jordanian Joint High Commission, scheduled to be held before the end of the current year. They stressed the importance of ensuring thorough preparations for this event in a manner that contributes to strengthening the strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The two ministers welcomed the positive momentum characterizing the historic ties between the two brotherly nations, which have been elevated to a multidimensional strategic partnership by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The ministers also reviewed regional developments and emphasized the importance of enhanced consultation and coordination on issues of common interest, in a way that contributes to the security, stability and development of the region.
The talks were attended by Morocco’s Ambassador to Jordan Fouad Akhrif, Morocco’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States Mohamed Aït Ouali, and Director of Maghreb, Arab and Islamic Affairs at the Ministry Khalid Bencheikh.
On Monday, MFA Bourita participated in the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers and in the resumed proceedings of the 165th Ordinary Session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held in Amman.
