AFCON 2025: Morocco Introduces Electronic Travel Authorization (AEVM) for Certain African Supporters
As the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations approaches, which Morocco will host from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, Moroccan authorities have announced new measures designed to manage the massive influx of supporters and ensure the smooth running of the tournament.

In this context, it has been decided to introduce, on a temporary basis, an Electronic Travel Authorization for Morocco (AEVM) for nationals of certain African countries who are usually exempt from entry visas.
Eight countries concerned:
The measure will apply to holders of ordinary passports from Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, Niger, Senegal, Togo, and Tunisia. Supporters from these countries wishing to attend AFCON 2025 matches will need to submit their application online via the YALLA app, available from September 25, 2025.
This application will also serve as a single platform for all fan services, including the issuance of the Fan ID, which is mandatory to access stadiums and fan zones.
Travelers outside the AFCON framework:
Nationals of the affected countries wishing to travel to Morocco between September 25, 2025, and January 25, 2026, for purposes other than AFCON (tourism, business, or family visits) will need to complete the procedure online at least 96 hours before departure via the official portal acces-maroc.ma, and not through the YALLA app.
Exemptions provided:
Certain categories of travelers will remain exempt from this requirement:
- Holders of diplomatic, service, special, or official passports;
- Residents in Morocco with valid residence permits;
- Travelers transiting through Moroccan airports without leaving the international zone;
- Nationals of the concerned countries married to Moroccan citizens, upon presentation of proof;
- Persons over the age of 55.
A temporary measure:
This provision, introduced specifically for AFCON Morocco 2025, will remain in effect from September 25, 2025, to January 25, 2026. Once the tournament ends, entry procedures to Morocco will revert to the usual system.
With this initiative, Morocco aims to combine logistical fluidity with security in order to provide African supporters with an optimal experience during this exceptional continental sporting event.
