Fouzi Lekjaa: Achraf Hakimi Is Ready for Africa Cup of Nations Matches
Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), reassured Moroccans on Friday regarding the recovery of international defender Achraf Hakimi, confirming his availability to take part in Africa Cup of Nations matches with the national team in Morocco.

Speaking alongside the international player on the program “Invité du Passeport,” broadcast on the “Pass Jeunes” social media platforms, Lekjaa stated: “Thank God, Achraf is doing well. His leg has recovered and he is ready to begin his Africa Cup of Nations matches.”
The sports official added that “young people were worried about his injury, but, thanks to God, things have returned to normal.” He also stressed that “one of the elements that reassures us all is that Achraf completed a significant part of his treatment here, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex,” considering that this in itself represents “part of the answer to questions about the reasons behind the development of national football.”
It is worth recalling that Achraf Hakimi suffered a serious injury in early November, following a violent challenge by player Luis Díaz during the UEFA Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. The injury forced him to undergo a long period of treatment and to miss several important matches with the Parisian club.
