New York: FM Chairs Launch of Morocco’s Extended National Action Plan on UN ‘Women, Peace and Security’ Agenda
Nations Unies (New York) - Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, chaired on Thursday the official ceremony launching the extension of Morocco’s first National Action Plan on the UN "Women, Peace and Security" Agenda for the 2025-2026 period.


Held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, this high-level meeting brought together Foreign ministers from Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, all committed to advancing this vital global agenda.
UN Women Executive Director, Sima Bahous, also took part in the event as a key partner of Morocco in implementing the Agenda.
The meeting coincided with the 25th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on “Women, Peace and Security,” as well as the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration on women’s rights.
