Nasser Bourita: “What is happening in Gaza requires firm positions against Israeli aggression”
Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita issued a strong call to the international community as he denounced Israeli violence in Gaza. Speaking at the opening of the high-level meeting on “The Future of Euro-Mediterranean Relations,” held Thursday in Rabat, the head of Moroccan diplomacy stated that “what is happening in the Gaza Strip calls for firm positions against Israeli aggression.”

In the presence of several officials, including European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Šuica, Bourita described the “war of extermination” endured by Gazans over the past two years, stressing that these tragedies directly challenge “our choices and orientations within the framework of Euro-Mediterranean relations.”
“What is happening in Gaza speaks to our consciences and compels us to adopt clear and determined positions in the face of Israeli aggression,” he emphasized.
The Minister further underlined “the urgency of redefining the Euro-Mediterranean space,” arguing that it was now necessary “to move beyond rhetoric and advance toward real and tangible action.” He also called for strengthened cooperation to “end political and geographic fragmentations” and to “establish effective dialogue in a context marked by the inability to manage crises.”
In conclusion, Bourita lamented the absence of concrete solutions to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza: “Unfortunately, the situation remains deadlocked, and no clear horizon is in sight,” he declared.
