Morocco’s Strategic Vision and Consistency Highlighted at MEDays
Participants in a panel held Friday in Tangier during the 17th edition of the MEDays International Forum affirmed that Morocco today embodies a clear strategy grounded in vision, pragmatism and consistency.

Speaking at a panel titled “Valuing the National Brand: Harnessing the Kingdom’s Assets to Redefine and Maximize Brand Morocco,” speakers highlighted the country’s strategic advantages, including its geostrategic position between Europe, Africa and the Atlantic, its proactive diplomacy and the rapid development of key industrial sectors.
The panelists also emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships and the growing role of Moroccan soft power in culture, sports and creative industries, which contribute to strengthening the country’s international presence.
Discussions also explored ways to reinforce Morocco’s global influence by combining infrastructure, economic diversification and the promotion of cultural heritage as diplomatic, economic and identity drivers.
In a statement to MAP on the sidelines of the panel, Jean-Marie Mbuyi, CEO of BM Partners, praised Morocco’s momentum in bilateral and multilateral cooperation, noting that the Kingdom’s commitment to the Atlantic Africa Initiative is opening the door to cooperation projects in several sectors, particularly industry, where Morocco is considered a “champion.”
“The cooperation with Morocco, which has capitalized on industrial development and innovation and achieved major progress in aeronautics and automotive manufacturing, will help create a transformative dynamic benefiting African economies,” he insisted.
In a similar statement, Robert Govers, senior associate and research director at Anholt & Co., stressed that coherence between actions and communication plays a key role in strengthening the Kingdom’s visibility abroad, a challenge that is distinct yet complementary to the promotion of investment, tourism and infrastructure.
Organized under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI and initiated by the Amadeus Institute, the MEDays Forum is one of the continent’s major events, bringing together heads of state, policymakers, experts and international actors each year.
This year’s edition, held until November 29 under the theme “Fractures and Polarization: Reinventing the Global Equation,” features around fifty sessions covering a wide range of major geostrategic topics, with a focus on the challenges, issues and opportunities facing Africa and the Global South.
