Strategic U.S.–Morocco Cooperation: Historic Visit of the Commander of U.S. Space Forces Africa to Rabat
Rabat recently hosted Brigadier General Jacob Middleton, Commander of U.S. Space Forces Africa, in a highly symbolic official visit. This marked his first official trip, highlighted by a meeting with Abdellatif Loudiyi, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration.

The visit underscored the strength of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States, a historic alliance that continues to grow and adapt to contemporary challenges.
Beyond traditional military cooperation, discussions opened new avenues in advanced fields such as space exploration, satellite communications security, and defense-related technological applications. These are strategic sectors where Morocco, under the enlightened guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aims to secure a prominent role alongside its international partners.
Brigadier General Middleton’s presence in Rabat also reflects the mutual trust and recognition of Morocco’s central role in Africa and the Mediterranean basin. The visit illustrates both nations’ commitment to building a shared future founded on innovation, stability, and global security.
This meeting marks a new milestone in U.S.–Morocco cooperation, reaffirming that the alliance between Rabat and Washington remains one of the strongest pillars of the transatlantic and African partnership.
