The Moroccan Passport Continues Its Rise in the Global Ranking

According to the latest ranking published by Henley & Partners, a firm specializing in the international evaluation of passports, the Moroccan passport now ranks 62nd worldwide, granting its holders visa-free access to 72 destinations. This marks the highest position reached by the Kingdom in nearly twenty years, confirming steady progress: the Moroccan passport ranked 69th last year and 71st the year before.

At the level of North Africa, Morocco now leads the regional ranking. It surpasses the Tunisian passport, ranked 66th with visa-free access to 67 countries, followed by the Mauritanian passport (75th) and the Algerian passport (76th). The Egyptian and Libyan passports are positioned further down the list, at 81st and 91st respectively.

This upward trend reflects a gradual improvement in the international mobility of Moroccan citizens and highlights the strengthening of diplomatic relations and bilateral agreements concluded in recent years. It also illustrates the evolving international perception of the Kingdom, as its passport gains credibility and recognition on the global stage.
