Morocco and His Majesty King Mohammed VI praised for their sustained commitment to peace and the Palestinian cause

According to the Commission, this membership is not merely a diplomatic gesture, but rather the consecration of a consistent, balanced Moroccan position firmly rooted in international legitimacy. It stressed that the presence of His Majesty within this Council constitutes a moral and political guarantee for the defense of the Palestinian cause, particularly in favor of the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with Al-Qods Acharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.

As Chairman of the Al-Qods Committee, His Majesty King Mohammed VI has consistently placed the Palestinian issue at the heart of Moroccan diplomatic action, combining political engagement, humanitarian support, and sustained advocacy for a just and lasting peace. This new international responsibility further strengthens Morocco’s voice within global forums dedicated to stability, dialogue, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
