In a statement, the Ministry said it had observed the crescent moon marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on Wednesday, 29 Shaaban 1447 AH, corresponding to February 18, 2026, confirming that the lunar crescent sighting has been duly established.
Accordingly, the first day of Ramadan will fall on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
