Moroccan Model of Tolerance, Intercultural Dialogue Showcased at Lille Conference
Lille - The unique Moroccan model of tolerance and intercultural dialogue was presented during a conference held Wednesday evening in Lille.

Organized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom in the city, the event brought together personalities from various realms, origins and faiths, as well as members of the Moroccan diaspora in France.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General of the Kingdom in Lille Abdelkader Abidine, said the conference aims to “share ideas, inform, inspire and stimulate reflection on the topic of intelligent coexistence between the three Abrahamic religions.”
For his part, Director General of the European Jewish Cultural and Academic Space (ECUJE), Gad Ibgui, expressed pride in taking part in this conference devoted to the Moroccan model of tolerance, describing it as a means to reaffirm solidarity and attachment to the culture of dialogue inherited by Moroccans of all faiths.
In turn, Mohamed El Ouafi, a leading imam and graduate of the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams and Preachers, emphasized the contribution of different faiths to the composition of Moroccan identity, highlighting their influence on the social and cultural makeup of Morocco.
At the end of the conference, a multi-faith ftour was organized following a pure Moroccan tradition, offering a moment of sharing in a convivial atmosphere reflecting the Kingdom’s values of hospitality and living together.
